About the role
Responsibilities
- Ensure continuous operation of facility systems through routine inspections, preventative maintenance, and proactive vendor management
- Maintain adequate inventory of parts, equipment, and supplies to support ongoing repairs
- Input and update work orders, maintenance history, and parts usage within the CMMS
- Monitor and adjust systems using the Building Automation System (BAS)
- Adhere to all Quality Management System (QMS) and Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) requirements
- Serve as an active member of the Fire Response Team and Site Emergency Management Team
- Partner with cross-functional teams to support laboratory and facility needs
Requirements
- High school diploma with 5+ years in a maintenance role
- 3+ years of experience in a laboratory or industrial facility
- General knowledge of electrical systems, HVAC, air handling units, boilers, chillers, hydraulics, pneumatics, and generators
- Proficiency in Google Workspace and Microsoft Office Suite
- Experience with hand tools, power tools, and forklift operation
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, climb ladders, bend, and crawl
- Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate across teams
Preferred Qualifications
- Associate's Degree or applicable trade certifications
- 7+ years in maintenance and 5+ years in a laboratory or industrial facility
- Professional electrical or HVAC knowledge
- Experience with Building Automation Systems (BAS) and CMMS design
- Familiarity with industrial facility regulations and emergency management best practices
- Proven ability to manage contractors for repair and maintenance activities
