Facility Maintenance Specialist

Responsibilities

• Ensure continuous operation of facility systems through routine inspections, preventative maintenance, and proactive vendor management
• Maintain adequate inventory of parts, equipment, and supplies to support ongoing repairs
• Input and update work orders, maintenance history, and parts usage within the CMMS
• Monitor and adjust systems using the Building Automation System (BAS)
• Adhere to all Quality Management System (QMS) and Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) requirements
• Serve as an active member of the Fire Response Team and Site Emergency Management Team
• Partner with cross-functional teams to support laboratory and facility needs

Requirements

• High school diploma with 5+ years in a maintenance role
• 3+ years of experience in a laboratory or industrial facility
• General knowledge of electrical systems, HVAC, air handling units, boilers, chillers, hydraulics, pneumatics, and generators
• Proficiency in Google Workspace and Microsoft Office Suite
• Experience with hand tools, power tools, and forklift operation
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, climb ladders, bend, and crawl
• Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate across teams

Preferred Qualifications

• Associate's Degree or applicable trade certifications
• 7+ years in maintenance and 5+ years in a laboratory or industrial facility
• Professional electrical or HVAC knowledge
• Experience with Building Automation Systems (BAS) and CMMS design
• Familiarity with industrial facility regulations and emergency management best practices
• Proven ability to manage contractors for repair and maintenance activities
