Facility Engineer

Responsibilities

• Oversee operation, maintenance, and repair of utility systems including electrical, compressed air, water, steam, and HVAC
• Monitor utility consumption, identify energy-saving opportunities, and manage utility budgets
• Troubleshoot utility issues and general facility maintenance; perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions
• Coordinate with external contractors and vendors for maintenance, repairs, and system upgrades
• Ensure minimal production interruptions by resolving planned and unplanned outages safely and timely
• Maintain records of system performance, maintenance schedules, work orders, and compliance documentation
• Report utility performance to senior management
• Maintain work-site cleanliness per 5S3R standards and ensure a safe work environment

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or higher degree in engineering or related field
• Ability to utilize Personal Protective Equipment for up to 12 hours
• Ability to lift/push/pull up to 50 pounds, stoop, twist, bend, reach overhead, and stand for lengthy periods
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
• Strong verbal and written communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) experience
• Six Sigma certification
• Experience with DOE (Design of Experiments)
• Experience using CAD and coding
