Facility Engineer, HVAC

Responsibilities

• Maintain all HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems to extend equipment life and ensure operational efficiency
• Implement and maintain routine energy conservation measures across all facilities
• Inspect and test life safety systems to ensure compliance with safety standards and local laws
• Respond to emergency calls and perform necessary repairs as directed by management
• Manage department inventory, complete purchases, and maintain accurate paperwork
• Perform diverse facility tasks including carpentry, painting, snow removal, and minor construction
• Coordinate with outside contractors to complete specific work orders and projects

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Proficient knowledge of HVAC (Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning) systems
• Working knowledge of electrical switches, relays, and power requirements
• Valid, current, and unrestricted driver's license
• Ability to lift, push, or pull up to 50 lbs regularly
• Ability to work in adverse weather conditions and on uneven surfaces

Preferred Qualifications

• Five years of experience in facility management, construction, or a related field
• Proficiency with Building Automated Systems and Microsoft Office
• Advanced level skiing or snowboarding skills
• Experience with lock-out/tag-out and confined space safety protocols
