About the role
Responsibilities
- Serve as the Location Electrical Safety (LO-ES) Responsible, owning the plant's electrical safety program and compliance.
- Lead electrical risk assessments, job safety analyses (JSAs), and the approval of electrical work permits.
- Ensure strict adherence to NFPA 70E, OSHA 1910 Subpart S, and internal Bosch safety directives.
- Manage arc flash hazard analysis, labeling, mitigation strategies, and the electrical Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) program.
- Provide technical engineering support for the design, installation, and troubleshooting of electrical systems, including power distribution and backup power.
- Develop and maintain electrical drawings, single-line diagrams, and equipment documentation.
- Collaborate with maintenance teams to optimize preventive and predictive maintenance programs.
- Develop and deliver electrical safety training programs for electricians and technicians.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited university.
- Minimum 5+ years of relevant experience in electrical or facility engineering within a manufacturing environment.
- Proven experience in electrical safety program leadership (NFPA 70E, arc flash, LOTO).
- Strong background in industrial power distribution systems.
- Deep expertise in NFPA 70E, OSHA electrical standards, and National Electrical Code (NEC).
- Ability to obtain and maintain Qualified Electrical Worker status per NFPA 70E.
- Willingness to work flexible hours and respond to off-shift emergencies when needed.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s degree or Professional Engineer (PE) license.
- Proficiency with electrical design software such as AutoCAD, SKM PowerTools, or ETAP.
- Experience in high-volume manufacturing industries such as automotive or appliances.
- Familiarity with lean manufacturing and continuous improvement tools.
