About the role

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the Location Electrical Safety (LO-ES) Responsible, owning the plant's electrical safety program and compliance.
  • Lead electrical risk assessments, job safety analyses (JSAs), and the approval of electrical work permits.
  • Ensure strict adherence to NFPA 70E, OSHA 1910 Subpart S, and internal Bosch safety directives.
  • Manage arc flash hazard analysis, labeling, mitigation strategies, and the electrical Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) program.
  • Provide technical engineering support for the design, installation, and troubleshooting of electrical systems, including power distribution and backup power.
  • Develop and maintain electrical drawings, single-line diagrams, and equipment documentation.
  • Collaborate with maintenance teams to optimize preventive and predictive maintenance programs.
  • Develop and deliver electrical safety training programs for electricians and technicians.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited university.
  • Minimum 5+ years of relevant experience in electrical or facility engineering within a manufacturing environment.
  • Proven experience in electrical safety program leadership (NFPA 70E, arc flash, LOTO).
  • Strong background in industrial power distribution systems.
  • Deep expertise in NFPA 70E, OSHA electrical standards, and National Electrical Code (NEC).
  • Ability to obtain and maintain Qualified Electrical Worker status per NFPA 70E.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours and respond to off-shift emergencies when needed.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s degree or Professional Engineer (PE) license.
  • Proficiency with electrical design software such as AutoCAD, SKM PowerTools, or ETAP.
  • Experience in high-volume manufacturing industries such as automotive or appliances.
  • Familiarity with lean manufacturing and continuous improvement tools.
