Facilities Technician

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance and repairs on HVAC, plumbing, electrical systems, and building infrastructure
• Execute maintenance requests and work orders in a timely manner
• Participate in preventive maintenance programs to ensure equipment reliability and regulatory compliance
• Document and track all maintenance and inspection activities according to GMP and OSHA standards
• Support laboratory, office, and common-area setups, including equipment installation and relocation
• Coordinate with external vendors and oversee service quality
• Maintain accurate work orders, equipment logs, and facility documentation
• Provide guidance and training to junior technicians and support facility-related projects

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED; technical training or certifications are a plus
• 1+ years of experience in facilities maintenance, calibration, or general building operations
• Ability to understand and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints
• Physical ability to lift, carry, climb, and perform hands-on technical work
• Familiarity with GMP and OSHA regulatory requirements
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
• Flexibility to work nights, weekends, or on-call rotations as required
