Facilities Technician

Responsibilities

• Perform general repairs on campus infrastructure including plumbing, HVAC, electrical systems, and cabling
• Maintain school grounds through weeding, planting, pruning, and clearing debris
• Conduct daily custodial tasks including cleaning and sanitizing classrooms, restrooms, and meal areas
• Monitor and address campus safety issues such as fire hazards or trip hazards
• Manage inventory of cleaning and custodial supplies and coordinate necessary orders
• Set up facilities for school meetings, events, and special functions
• Perform daily traffic duty in the school parking lot during peak times
• Secure campus gates, doors, and windows to ensure safety during and after operational hours

Requirements

• High School Diploma, GED, or suitable equivalent
• 2-5 years of related experience in an institutional setting preferred
• Valid driver’s license
• Knowledge of modern cleaning methods, disinfectants, and custodial equipment
• Ability to lift and carry heavy objects and climb ladders
• Ability to operate various maintenance and cleaning tools
• Employment is contingent upon clearance of Live Scan and TB test results
