Facilities Technician

Responsibilities

• Perform routine inspections and repairs on building systems including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, lighting, and fixtures
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests, equipment breakdowns, and emergencies
• Troubleshoot building system issues and implement necessary corrective actions
• Conduct basic carpentry, painting, and minor construction tasks
• Monitor building conditions to ensure safety, cleanliness, and operational efficiency
• Maintain maintenance logs, work orders, and inventory for tools and spare parts
• Coordinate with external contractors and vendors to oversee work quality and compliance
• Ensure strict adherence to health, safety, and environmental regulations
• Oversee on-site Health and Safety practices, including HSA and internal audits

Requirements

• 2–5 years of experience in facilities maintenance or a related technical role
• Working knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and general building systems
• Ability to read manuals, schematics, and basic technical drawings
• Proficiency with hand and power tools
• Valid driver’s license and a valid Forklift license
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Basic computer skills for managing work orders and reporting

Preferred Qualifications

• Trade certification
• Knowledge of building codes and regulatory standards
