Facilities Technician

Responsibilities

• Maintain, repair, and operate facilities infrastructure including HVAC, Ammonia Systems, water heaters, and compressors
• Troubleshoot and repair industrial ammonia refrigeration systems and support PSM/RMP compliance
• Operate and maintain wastewater treatment systems, including water chemistry testing and chemical dosing
• Perform general facility repairs involving mechanical, structural, and minor electrical systems
• Install and troubleshoot sensors, wiring, and control panels for low voltage and PLC-controlled systems
• Manage CO2 and nitrogen supply systems and ensure compliance with compressed gas safety standards
• Participate in rotating on-call duties for after-hours emergencies

Requirements

• 2+ years of experience in industrial maintenance, utilities, or facilities
• Experience with industrial electrical systems (480VAC–24VDC)
• Ability to read electrical schematics and technical manuals
• Experience using a CMMS (SAP, RedZone, or similar)
• Ability to work in extreme environments such as cold storage and boiler rooms

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in food manufacturing or regulated environments
• Ammonia refrigeration experience (RETA CARO/CIRO preferred)
• EPA 608 Universal Certification
• Experience with CO2 and nitrogen systems
• Background in wastewater treatment operations
• Experience with low voltage installation and controls troubleshooting
