Facilities Technician

Responsibilities

• Perform installation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of facility equipment, including electrical, mechanical, plumbing, and civil systems.
• Ensure compliance with cGMP requirements and Malaysian workplace safety regulations during all maintenance activities.
• Execute preventive maintenance schedules for building equipment, lighting, and office infrastructure.
• Respond promptly to facility emergencies such as equipment failures, leaks, or electrical issues.
• Monitor building systems via BMS (Building Management System) and assist with HVAC, ELV, and environmental monitoring systems.
• Coordinate with external contractors and service vendors, monitoring their work quality and compliance.
• Maintain accurate documentation of work orders, maintenance activities, and inventory usage.
• Support facility setup for company events and manage office space reconfigurations.

Requirements

• Certificate or Diploma in Civil, Electrical, Mechanical, or Mechatronics Engineering (or equivalent).
• 1-3 years of experience in facilities maintenance or a manufacturing environment (PCBA, pharmaceutical, or cleanroom experience preferred).
• Technical knowledge of HVAC, ELV, and BMS systems.
• Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Ability to work flexible shifts in a 24/7 manufacturing operation, including weekends.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to read technical drawings and manuals.

Preferred Qualifications

• AO / A4 Chargeman certificate.
• Experience working in a regulated industry (Life Sciences or Consumer Products).
• Previous experience in a cleanroom environment.
• Basic knowledge of pharmaceutical documentation (SOPs, Deviations, Calibration plans).
• Knowledge of solar energy systems and energy efficiency programs.
• Multi-language fluency in English and Malay.
