Facilities Technician III

Responsibilities

• Perform advanced preventive and corrective maintenance on mechanical, electrical, HVAC, utility, and building systems in GMP and non-GMP areas
• Maintain and repair complex utility systems including HVAC, cold storage, compressed air, RO/WFI systems, boilers, and wastewater treatment
• Maintain GMP lab and process equipment such as bioreactors, centrifuges, and autoclaves
• Execute work order requests and maintain accurate maintenance records and compliance documentation
• Coordinate with specialized contractors and collaborate with Laboratory Operations, Engineering, and Quality teams
• Provide technical guidance and mentoring to junior technicians

Requirements

• 5–10 years of experience in facility maintenance or mechanical/electrical building systems
• High school diploma required; technical trade school certification preferred
• Strong technical skills in HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems
• Proficiency reading schematics, blueprints, and P&IDs
• Experience in regulated environments (cGMP biotech or pharmaceutical) preferred
• Familiarity with Building Management Systems and CMMS

Preferred Qualifications

• Registered apprenticeship or trade license (electrical, plumbing, HVAC, pipefitting, etc.)
• Experience with clean steam generation and water for injection systems
