Facilities Technician II, Maintenance

Responsibilities

• Perform corrective, preventive, and planned maintenance on production equipment, including conveyance, shelving, racking, and powered industrial trucks.
• Maintain and repair building systems such as HVAC, air compressors, plumbing, and electrical systems.
• Execute facility improvements including painting, sheetrock repairs, and minor plumbing or door repairs.
• Ensure facility safety and cleanliness by adhering to 5S principles and following lock-out/tag-out procedures.
• Utilize fabrication tools to create custom equipment supports from wood or metal.
• Maintain accurate digital records of work orders, parts, and repairs using CMMS software.
• Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns and emergencies to minimize production downtime.
• Identify opportunities for process optimization and continuous improvement within the warehouse.

Requirements

• 5+ years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing facility.
• 5+ years of electrical knowledge and understanding of electronic principles.
• 3+ years of industry experience in maintenance, facilities, or a related field.
• High school diploma or equivalent GED.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Knowledge of PLC and CMMS systems.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks including bending, stooping, and climbing ladders.
• Ability to troubleshoot machinery independently.

Preferred Qualifications

• Advanced degree or formal training in engineering or maintenance.
• Formal training or certification in electrical, mechanical, plumbing, air compression, PLC, or HVAC trades.
• Advanced training in Lean or Six Sigma methodologies.
• Bilingual skills in English and Spanish.
