About the role
Responsibilities
- Maintain and repair facility systems including HVAC, electrical distribution, compressed air, and vacuum systems
- Support critical infrastructure such as RF shielded rooms, anechoic chambers, and lab ventilation
- Perform preventative maintenance and calibration support to ensure environmental stability for precision electronics
- Troubleshoot facility-related issues to minimize disruptions to engineering labs and production uptime
- Use CMMS to track work orders, preventative maintenance schedules, and compliance records
- Coordinate with specialized contractors for HVAC, electrical, and RF shielding services
- Serve on the Safety Committee and ensure compliance with OSHA, EHS, and ITAR protocols
- Participate in an on-call rotation for critical facility issues
Requirements
- Associate’s degree or technical certification in Facilities Maintenance, HVAC, Electrical, or a related field
- 3–6 years of facilities maintenance experience in a high-tech manufacturing, aerospace, or defense environment
- Working knowledge of HVAC systems with tight environmental tolerances and electrical systems including clean power/UPS
- Proficiency using CMMS systems
- Ability to read and interpret electrical diagrams, blueprints, and technical documentation
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks including standing, bending, and ladder use
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting RF labs, electronics manufacturing, or test environments
- Familiarity with anechoic chambers, RF shielded environments, or ESD controls
- EPA certification for HVAC refrigerant handling
- Electrical license or apprenticeship completion
- Experience working in ITAR-controlled or security-sensitive environments
- Basic understanding of PLCs, building automation systems (BAS), or SCADA systems
