Facilities Technician II

Responsibilities

• Perform basic repairs for building systems, including electrical, plumbing, mechanical, structural, and cosmetic.
• Conduct building and grounds maintenance, including ice and snow removal on walkways.
• Support hazardous waste activities and ensure compliance with safety standards.
• Assist with HVAC system maintenance and interact with cleaning services to ensure facility needs are met.
• Provide backup coverage for Custodial Assistant duties as required.
• Identify potential facility problems and take initiative to correct them.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Hazardous Waste Coordinator Certification.
• Minimum of 2 years of hands-on maintenance experience with electrical skills.
• Strong knowledge of hand and power tools (hammers, hoists, saws, drills, wrenches, etc.).
• Ability to use precision measuring instruments and electrical testing devices.
• Basic reading, writing, and arithmetic skills.
