Facilities Technician, HVAC

Responsibilities

• Perform regular preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on HVAC equipment, including AHUs, RTUs, condensers, and VAV boxes
• Monitor and maintain proper temperature, relative humidity, and differential pressure across ISO-classified cleanroom spaces
• Replace or clean HEPA filters, belts, motors, and sensors to ensure system efficiency and compliance
• Complete detailed maintenance logs and service reports to support cGMP documentation and audit readiness
• Coordinate with facility engineers and external contractors for system shutdowns, repairs, and upgrades
• Adhere to all safety protocols, including lock-out/tag-out and 5S principles, to maintain a safe work environment

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent GED
• 3+ years of experience in maintenance, facilities, or a related field
• Verifiable HVAC education and/or certification
• Proven experience with HVAC systems, boilers, chillers, and air flow specifications
• Proficiency with CMMS systems and business computer applications (Microsoft Word, Excel)
• Ability to troubleshoot machinery independently and document technical data
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs, climb ladders, and work at heights using scissor or bucket lifts

Preferred Qualifications

• Formal training or certification in electrical, mechanical, plumbing, or PLC systems
• 5+ years of maintenance experience in a commercial or industrial facility
• Advanced degree or training in engineering or maintenance
• Experience with lean manufacturing or Six Sigma methodologies
• Bilingual skills (English/Spanish)
