Facilities Technician

Responsibilities

• Perform janitorial and sanitation tasks, including cleaning and disinfecting restrooms, breakrooms, and offices
• Sanitize production surfaces and machinery to maintain a safe working environment
• Operate industrial cleaning equipment such as ride-on scrubbers and floor buffers
• Manage waste disposal, including trash, recycling, and specialized chemical waste, in compliance with environmental regulations
• Provide general labor support, such as moving heavy equipment or supplies using hand trucks
• Conduct basic facility repairs, including drywall work, painting, and reporting structural defects
• Maintain grounds through landscaping upkeep and lawn grooming
• Ensure safety compliance by following OSHA regulations and properly using PPE and SDS guidelines
• Monitor and restock cleaning supplies and inventory in common areas

Requirements

• Knowledge of chemical cleaning products, safety practices, and SDS (Safety Data Sheets)
• Ability to stand, walk, lift, and bend for extended periods
• Proficiency with basic hand and power tools
• Experience operating or the ability to learn industrial floor buffers and scrubbers
• Ability to read and understand chemical labels and follow safety instructions
• Ability to work in a high-production, fast-paced environment

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience in industrial cleaning or janitorial roles
