Facilities Technician

Responsibilities

• Perform janitorial and sanitation tasks, including cleaning and disinfecting restrooms, breakrooms, and offices
• Sanitize production surfaces and machinery to maintain a safe working environment
• Operate industrial cleaning equipment such as ride-on scrubbers and floor buffers
• Manage waste disposal, including trash, recycling, and specialized chemical waste, in compliance with environmental regulations
• Provide general labor support, such as moving heavy equipment or supplies using hand trucks or forklifts
• Conduct basic facility repairs including drywall, painting, and reporting defects like damaged concrete or fencing
• Maintain grounds through landscaping upkeep and lawn grooming
• Ensure safety compliance by following OSHA regulations and properly using PPE and chemical safety protocols

Requirements

• Knowledge of chemical cleaning products and safety practices
• Familiarity with Safety Data Sheets (SDS)
• Ability to stand, walk, lift, bend, and climb stairs for extended periods
• Proficiency with basic hand and power tools
• Ability to read and follow written and verbal safety instructions and chemical labels

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience in industrial cleaning or janitorial roles
• Experience operating powered cleaning equipment and floor scrubbers
