Facilities Technician

Responsibilities

• Support day-to-day facilities operations, including work order follow-up, vendor coordination, and site issue tracking.
• Coordinate preventive maintenance activities for HVAC, electrical, compressed air, roof, fire/life-safety, and security systems.
• Perform regular facility walkthroughs to identify issues related to safety, housekeeping, leaks, lighting, and general building condition.
• Assist with facilities planning and consolidation, including room setup, equipment relocation, and storage organization.
• Maintain accurate documentation, track action items, and manage vendor follow-ups.

Requirements

• 1 to 3 years of experience in facilities, operations, maintenance, construction coordination, or lab operations.
• Basic understanding of building systems including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and compressed air.
• Ability to walk industrial and lab areas, climb stairs, and inspect work areas.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, email, and basic project tracking tools.
• Strong organizational, communication, and documentation skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Ability to read floor plans, equipment layouts, service reports, and maintenance documentation.
• Experience in a manufacturing or laboratory support environment.
