Facilities Technician - Electrical

About the Company

Radiant is an El Segundo, CA-based startup building the world’s first mass-produced, portable nuclear microreactors. The company’s first reactor, Kaleidos, is a 1-megawatt, fail-safe microreactor designed to provide critical power to hospitals, data centers, and remote sites.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary in-house resource for electrical troubleshooting and repairs
• Install, maintain, and repair lighting systems, electrical panels, breakers, and low-voltage systems
• Diagnose electrical issues and implement corrective actions
• Support electrical upgrades and facility expansion projects
• Coordinate and oversee electrical subcontractors
• Assist with lockout/tagout (LOTO) procedures and electrical safety compliance
• Perform general building maintenance including HVAC troubleshooting, basic plumbing, and hardware repairs
• Respond to facility emergencies and urgent maintenance requests
• Maintain facility tools, equipment, and maintenance inventories

Requirements

• 3+ years of commercial, industrial, manufacturing, or facilities electrical experience
• Working knowledge of electrical distribution systems and troubleshooting
• Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and construction drawings
• Experience operating power tools and maintenance equipment
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work on ladders, lifts, and rooftops
• Valid driver’s license

Preferred Qualifications

• Electrician certification or equivalent experience
• Experience in manufacturing, aerospace, energy, nuclear, or semiconductor facilities
• Knowledge of HVAC systems and building automation systems (BAS)
• Forklift, scissor lift, and boom lift experience
• Experience with CMMS systems
• Understanding of OSHA and NFPA 70E electrical safety requirements
