Facilities Technician

Responsibilities

• Perform routine building maintenance including minor plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and painting repairs
• Execute unit turnover tasks such as patching drywall, cleaning carpets, and repairing cabinets or countertops
• Maintain grounds by pruning shrubs, fertilizing lawns, and performing snow and ice removal
• Conduct daily custodial duties including cleaning common areas, bathrooms, kitchens, and hallways
• Manage preventive maintenance schedules and maintain accurate digital logs of completed work orders
• Coordinate with subcontractors on-site and perform routine security checks of buildings and offices
• Travel to various CAPHR facilities as needed to support agency requirements

Requirements

• Working knowledge of janitorial, custodial, and general building maintenance practices
• Basic skills in carpentry, plumbing, electrical work, and painting
• Ability to lift up to 75 pounds and perform strenuous manual labor
• Physical fitness required for moving heavy furniture and equipment
• Ability to use smartphones and computers to check emails and manage work software
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
• Ability to follow oral and written instructions and work effectively with colleagues and clients

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience in facility maintenance or similar roles
