About the role
Responsibilities
- Perform hands-on installation, maintenance, and repairs including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and carpentry work
- Respond to emergent requests to limit facility and equipment downtime
- Assemble, arrange, and move furniture and equipment for new area buildouts or moves
- Open, track, and resolve electronic work tickets for requests and projects
- Work with external contractors and vendors for specialized repairs and services
- Follow and enforce safety protocols to promote a secure work environment
- Document and maintain tools, hardware, and equipment
- Provide operational and logistics support for spacecraft and technology development programs
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in a facility technician, construction trade, or similar technical hands-on role
- Proficiency with common hand and power tools
- Ability to lift 50 lbs and comfort being on your feet for extended periods
- Ability to safely utilize ladders of various heights
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as needed
- U.S. Citizenship, Lawful Permanent Residency, or Refugee/Asylee Status required
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience in a hardware manufacturing and testing facility
- Knowledge of troubleshooting building systems (HVAC, plumbing, electrical)
- Experience programming and operating digital Building Management Systems (BMS)
- Aerial Work Platform certification
- Familiarity with Google tools, JIRA, and Confluence
