About the role
Responsibilities
- Operate, monitor, and maintain 18 MΩ-cm RO/DI (UPW) systems and industrial wastewater treatment systems, including ACID Waste Neutralization and HF treatment.
- Perform troubleshooting and repairs on pumps, motors, valves, fluid distribution systems, control systems, and sensors.
- Plan and execute preventive maintenance for chillers, CDA systems, boilers, air handlers, scrubbers, and closed-loop cooling systems.
- Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions to improve system reliability.
- Use lab equipment to perform DI water quality testing and wastewater sampling/analysis.
- Utilize Statistical Process Control (SPC) and trend analysis to identify deviations and improve system stability.
- Ensure compliance with environmental regulations, discharge limits, and reporting requirements.
- Track water usage and support water conservation and reduction initiatives.
Requirements
- Associate’s degree in a technical field (mechanical, electrical, chemical, or related) or equivalent hands-on experience.
- Strong working knowledge of DI/UPW systems and wastewater treatment processes.
- Proficiency with mechanical systems including pumps, valves, and piping.
- Basic knowledge of electrical systems, including motors and controls.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working in a semiconductor manufacturing (wafer fab) environment.
- Hands-on experience with water recycling/reclaim systems and sustainability programs.
- Experience with chemical handling and hazardous material safety.
- Familiarity with control systems such as HMI, PLCs, and PID loops.
- Experience using SPC, control charts, and data analysis tools.
