Facilities Supervisor

Responsibilities

• Ensure electrical, mechanical, and operational functionality of the building
• Coordinate 3rd-party contractors in accordance with company policies
• Manage ordering of supplies and hazardous/nonhazardous waste
• Train employees on laboratory equipment and facility-related issues
• Maintain adequate stock of facility supplies and equipment through inventory control
• Coordinate and ensure compliance with a preventive maintenance program
• Oversee operation and maintenance of the facility to meet regulatory standards
• Monitor areas for efficiency and cost reduction opportunities
• Oversee maintenance of building exterior including roof, parking lot, and landscaping
• Lead initial health and safety training for new employees

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience overseeing facility operations in a commercial setting
• 1+ years of supervisory or Team Lead experience
• Bachelor’s or associate degree in chemistry or related sciences

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience in laboratory facility construction or maintenance
