Responsibilities

• Provide maintenance, custodial, and office moving services within campus buildings and grounds
• Complete minor repairs, renovations, and interior/exterior lighting maintenance
• Perform seasonal tasks including snow removal, de-icing, and spring clean-up
• Support campus events through furniture assembly, equipment relocation, and setup
• Maintain campus grounds by managing waste, recycling, and pest mitigation
• Operate various equipment including golf carts, scissor lifts, and boom lifts for high-level window cleaning
• Assist with basic IT equipment disconnection and reconnection during office moves
• Conduct regular inspections of campus grounds to identify fire hazards or unsafe structures

Requirements

• Completion of Grade 12 or equivalent
• 3+ years of experience, preferably in a trades environment
• Valid Class 5 Driver’s License
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50lbs regularly
• Ability to work safely at heights and in confined spaces
• Ability to work outdoors in extreme weather conditions, including extreme cold and heat
• Ability to perform strenuous physical work and assume awkward working positions

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous work experience in a unionized educational institution
• Experience with rope access
• Knowledge of operating heavy equipment such as skid steers, bobcats, tractors, or UTVs
• Additional academic, technical, or vocational training
