Facilities Planner 2

Responsibilities

• Plan space utilization and facility use to ensure organizational efficiency and optimal use of available funds.
• Direct and manage all phases of equipment maintenance, machinery upkeep, and facility modification projects.
• Lead projects from initial design concepts through to implementation, ensuring all requirements are clearly defined.
• Negotiate contracts and contract changes, establish operating budgets, and identify financial terms and conditions.
• Act as the primary point of contact for facility activities, equipment maintenance, and project management.
• Monitor project performance regarding cost, schedule, and technical requirements, establishing milestones and developing solutions for resource allocation or scope changes.

Requirements

• US Citizenship is required for this position.
• Bachelor's Degree and 3 years of relevant exempt experience, OR a Master's Degree and 1 year of relevant professional experience.
• Equivalent experience accepted: NNS Apprentice School graduate, Navy Nuclear Power School graduate, Associate's Degree with 2 years of relevant exempt experience, Military Paygrade E-5 or above, or High School/GED with relevant manufacturing, shipbuilding, or trades experience.
• Ability to work 2nd shift.
• Experience in facilities management or project management.
