Merge Labs is a frontier research lab with the mission of bridging biological and artificial intelligence to maximize human ability, agency and experience. We’re pursuing this goal by developing fundamentally new approaches to brain-computer interfaces that interact with the brain at high bandwidth, integrate with advanced AI, and are ultimately safe and accessible for anyone to use.

Responsibilities

• Maintain physical site readiness through walkthroughs, janitorial coordination, and space moves
• Act as first line of defense for lab equipment troubleshooting and self-repair
• Support lab utility systems including vacuum, compressed air, RODI, and autoclaves
• Manage the flow of goods including shipping, receiving, and internal logistics
• Coordinate facilities vendors and trades such as plumbing, electrical, and mechanical services
• Support workplace operations including desk planning, office moves, and kitchen operations
• Execute small facilities projects and buildout work
• Maintain operating discipline through vendor lists, maintenance records, and equipment notes

Requirements

• Hands-on facilities or lab operations experience in a wet lab, R&D, biotech, or manufacturing environment
• Strong mechanical instinct and ability to troubleshoot/repair physical problems
• Comfort working within a laboratory environment and understanding scientist needs
• Ability to coordinate building systems and external vendors
• Bias toward order, preventive maintenance, and maintaining checklists
• Technical literacy with spreadsheets, asset databases, and ticketing systems
• Flexibility to handle diverse tasks ranging from equipment maintenance to event setup
