Facilities Metrology Technician II

Responsibilities

• Perform routine calibration, testing, and repair of electrical, mechanical, and electronic measuring instruments to ensure conformance to established standards
• Disassemble, inspect, reassemble, and calibrate instruments and equipment
• Execute engineering and calibration portions of equipment qualifications (IQ, OQ, PQ)
• Monitor cGMP stability chambers, refrigerators, freezers, and Milli-Q water systems, ensuring data is entered into the Laboratory Management System
• Maintain appropriate documentation and audit trails for all calibrated systems and instruments
• Coordinate with 3rd party vendors for internal and external calibration activities
• Write, revise, and update Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for analytical equipment
• Monitor HVAC parameters and perform weekly temperature/humidity chart reviews

Requirements

• Associate's degree or trade school certification with 5+ years of relevant experience, OR a High School Diploma with 7+ years of relevant experience
• Strong knowledge of cGMP, FDA, and ISO regulatory requirements
• Proven experience with metrology principles and instrumentation repair (temperature, pressure, dimensional, mass, humidity)
• Proficiency in mathematical and statistical computations
• Ability to maintain high-level documentation and audit trails
• Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Ability to work a rotating on-call schedule, including some nights and weekends
