Facilities Mechanical Engineer I

Responsibilities

• Support Facility Operations with mechanical equipment design, specification, and testing
• Apply analytical and troubleshooting skills to minimize mean time to recovery for mechanical systems
• Support the operation of systems including centrifugal fans, burners, pumps, air compressors, chillers, and heat exchangers
• Manage the bidding, evaluation, and selection process of contractors for design and construction projects
• Review, verify, and approve engineering and design drawings
• Implement new engineering strategies and technologies to replace end-of-life (EOL) facilities equipment
• Communicate critical updates to site management and system operators
• Collaborate with other departments on planned and unplanned mechanical equipment modifications

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or Engineering Technology (or equivalent related experience)
• 0-3+ years of experience in mechanical or facility-related project management
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Knowledge of control systems architecture and programming (EBO/Andover, Tridium, or Siemens)
• Ability to travel up to 10% (domestic or international)
• Ability to work onsite and flexibility to work adjusted shifts as necessary
