Facilities Mechanic I

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair facility and compounding equipment
• Repair, install, and adjust industrial machinery including pumps, grinders, mixers, air compressors, boilers, and chillers
• Troubleshoot and repair pneumatic switches, valves, and cylinders
• Assist in the installation and set-up of new equipment including electrical, air, and ventilation
• Perform facility maintenance such as drywall, flooring, ceiling tiles, and plumbing
• Execute routine preventive maintenance and respond to work order requests
• Adhere to all safety policies including Lock Out/Tag Out (LOTO), hot work, and confined spaces
• Assist in troubleshooting electrical (relay logic PLCs) and mechanical systems

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Minimum of 1 year of industrial maintenance experience
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in diagnostic/troubleshooting and preventive maintenance
• Mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
• Ability to read and understand building/system drawings
• Familiarity with industrial safety policies, OSHA, and risk reduction
• Skills in drywall, painting, plumbing, welding, and machine shop work
• Ability to operate industrial lift trucks and scissor/boom lifts
• Physical ability to lift 75 pounds and manipulate 500-pound drums
• Ability to work in environments with varying temperatures, loud noises, and fumes
