About the role
Responsibilities
- Lead day-to-day facilities operations for the London office, ensuring a safe, compliant, and efficient environment.
- Line manage the London facilities team, including objective setting and performance management.
- Oversee critical office infrastructure supporting trading and technology, including UPS, backup power, generators, and cooling systems.
- Manage hard and soft FM services such as HVAC, BMS, security, cleaning, and waste management.
- Lead office fit-outs, refurbishments, and workplace redesign projects, managing budgets and contractor performance.
- Ensure strict compliance with UK Health & Safety legislation, fire safety, and emergency response planning.
- Manage annual facilities budgets, capital expenditure, and vendor contract negotiations.
- Partner with HR and Technology teams to deliver a premium employee workplace experience and operational resilience.
Requirements
- 8+ years of facilities management experience, ideally in mission-critical or high-complexity environments.
- 3+ years of experience leading and managing a facilities team.
- Proven experience within financial services, trading firms, technology companies, or data centers.
- Strong technical understanding of building infrastructure, including critical power and cooling systems.
- Demonstrated success in managing third-party vendors and delivering major capital projects or office relocations.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Engineering qualification (Mechanical, Electrical, Building Services, or equivalent).
- IWFM Level 5 or Level 6 certification.
- NEBOSH General Certificate or IOSH Managing Safely.
- Project management certification such as Prince2 or PMP.
