Facilities Manager

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day operations and maintenance of the 19th Street galleries and workspaces
• Lead and mentor the Facilities Assistant
• Serve as the main point of contact for facilities-related needs and external vendors
• Manage relationships with vendors including HVAC, landscaping, and janitorial services
• Coordinate and supervise construction and renovation projects
• Develop and execute preventive maintenance plans for building systems
• Support event preparation and logistics for gallery openings
• Maintain compliance with building codes, regulations, and safety protocols
• Manage budgets and expenses related to facilities operations
• Oversee housekeeping and supply management

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree
• 5+ years of relevant experience in facilities or building management
• Experience in a gallery, museum, or similar environment preferred
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Demonstrated leadership and staff management experience
• Working knowledge of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and fire safety systems
• Ability to respond to building emergencies outside of standard business hours
