Facilities Maintenance Worker CL2

Responsibilities

• Maintain facilities and grounds, including mowing, weed removal, snow removal, tree trimming, and litter pickup
• Perform custodial services such as sweeping, mopping, and cleaning assigned rooms or buildings
• Execute minor building repairs and move furniture or equipment as needed
• Operate and maintain various vehicles, tools, and equipment, including performing routine maintenance
• Monitor inventory levels and supplies, notifying supervisors of any stocking needs
• Perform facility set-ups and take-downs as directed
• Adhere to all safety procedures and report mechanical or safety issues immediately
• Provide work guidance to less experienced employees regarding procedural questions

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent (G.E.D.)
• At least one year of custodial or grounds-related work experience
• Valid Maine driver's license
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds frequently

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with equipment troubleshooting and maintenance
• Knowledge of Safety Data Sheets (SDS) and chemical handling safety
