About the role
Responsibilities
- Perform a wide variety of repair, maintenance, and carpentry requests via a ticketing system
- Execute minor electrical and plumbing services and general cleaning duties
- Maintain HVAC, alarm, and utility systems (electricity, water, etc.) across various sites
- Assist with the inspection and upkeep of building interiors, exteriors, and pedestrian walkways
- Coordinate with external contractors for large-scale repairs, upgrades, and vehicle maintenance
- Support annual reporting, physical inventory of appliances, and CARF accreditation compliance
- Drive to various program sites to provide timely maintenance and operational support
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- 1-3+ years of experience in a hands-on facilities maintenance capacity
- Proficiency in carpentry, light plumbing, and electrical work
- Valid California driver license and a reliable personal vehicle with current insurance
- Ability to lift or move up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks including climbing stairs and kneeling
- Ability to pass a DOJ criminal records clearance and a pre-employment physical/TB test
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience using ticketing systems (such as Fresh Desk) and Microsoft Teams
- Experience working in environments serving individuals experiencing homelessness or mental health challenges
