About the role

Responsibilities

  • Perform a wide variety of repair, maintenance, and carpentry requests via a ticketing system
  • Execute minor electrical and plumbing services and general cleaning duties
  • Maintain HVAC, alarm, and utility systems (electricity, water, etc.) across various sites
  • Assist with the inspection and upkeep of building interiors, exteriors, and pedestrian walkways
  • Coordinate with external contractors for large-scale repairs, upgrades, and vehicle maintenance
  • Support annual reporting, physical inventory of appliances, and CARF accreditation compliance
  • Drive to various program sites to provide timely maintenance and operational support

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • 1-3+ years of experience in a hands-on facilities maintenance capacity
  • Proficiency in carpentry, light plumbing, and electrical work
  • Valid California driver license and a reliable personal vehicle with current insurance
  • Ability to lift or move up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks including climbing stairs and kneeling
  • Ability to pass a DOJ criminal records clearance and a pre-employment physical/TB test

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience using ticketing systems (such as Fresh Desk) and Microsoft Teams
  • Experience working in environments serving individuals experiencing homelessness or mental health challenges
