Facilities Maintenance Technician

Responsibilities

• Perform electrical maintenance including repair or replacement of fixtures, switches, outlets, and lighting.
• Execute facility preventative maintenance (PM) tasks and conduct periodic audits to ensure completion.
• Complete repairs on HVAC systems, boilers, humidifiers, autoclaves, air compressors, and vacuum pumps.
• Manage plumbing maintenance such as repairing leaks, unclogging drains, and installing water or air lines.
• Perform carpentry, painting, and drywall work including surface preparation and door installation.
• Act as a company liaison with outside contractors and vendors for specialty repairs and services.
• Document all maintenance tasks and PMs in accordance with SOP and GMP standards.
• Assist with equipment moves, installations, and the relocation of office contents.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 5+ years of experience in skilled trades such as electrical, HVAC, or plumbing.
• Proficiency with various hand, power, and specialty tools.
• Strong knowledge of facility trade terminology and troubleshooting techniques.
• Ability to use Microsoft Office for documentation and communication.
• Ability to work extended hours or mandatory overtime as business needs dictate.
