Facilities Maintenance Technician

Responsibilities

• Perform basic facility tours, log readings, and mechanical inspections
• Execute cleaning, painting, garbage removal, snow removal, HVAC, and plumbing duties
• Coordinate work activities and supervise subcontractors to ensure quality and safety
• Respond promptly and safely to tenant requests
• Maintain client and vendor relationships
• Prepare progress reports and manage material/supply requests
• Comply with all health, safety, and environmental policies

Requirements

• 2+ years of experience in facilities maintenance
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Currently working towards Class 5 Power Engineering Certification
• Ability to troubleshoot and repair mechanical and electrical building systems
• Proficiency with computers, tablets, and mobile work order applications
• Clean Class 5 AB Driver’s License
• Ability to handle physical demands including lifting, bending, and working in confined spaces
• Availability for rotational after-hours and emergency on-call shifts

Preferred Qualifications

• Class 4 or Class 5 Power Engineering Certification
• Trade apprenticeship or training in plumbing, HVAC, or electrical systems
