Facilities Maintenance & Operations Manager

Responsibilities

• Supervise all facilities maintenance and operations department personnel, including training, goal setting, and performance evaluations.
• Ensure all maintenance work is performed safely and in strict compliance with federal, state, and local building codes and regulations.
• Assist the Director of Maintenance & Operations in managing department budgets, work orders, and outsourcing recommendations.
• Oversee construction work in progress to ensure adherence to project specifications, industry guidelines, and construction documents.
• Plan, coordinate, and direct the implementation of facilities maintenance and capital improvement projects.
• Develop and improve preventive maintenance programs to ensure campus equipment operates efficiently.
• Conduct field quality assurance inspections at school campuses to confirm work order performance.
• Interface with district administrators, staff, and the community to align activities with district goals.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Architecture, Facilities Management, Construction Management, or a related field.
• Comprehensive knowledge of federal, state, and local building codes, ordinances, and laws.
• Valid Texas Driver's License with a clear driving record.
• Ability to communicate effectively, interpret complex data, and maintain emotional control under stress.

Preferred Qualifications

• Minimum of five years of experience in facilities maintenance administration or construction supervision.
• General knowledge of all aspects of school plant maintenance and construction.
• Demonstrated leadership, organizational, and computational skills.
