Facilities HVAC Technician

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance, repairs, and installation of HVAC equipment including exhaust fans, heaters, make-up air, and air conditioning units.
• Troubleshoot electrical problems and mechanical components associated with heating and cooling systems.
• Maintain accurate documentation for preventive maintenance programs and inspections.
• Implement correct lubrication processes and determine appropriate lubricants for various equipment.
• Support general facility maintenance activities, including basic electrical, plumbing, and mechanical repairs as needed.
• Adhere to all safety policies, including the Safety Excellence and Leadership (SEAL) program.
• Maintain a clean and orderly workstation in compliance with housekeeping standards.

Requirements

• EPA Section 608 HVAC Certification.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to troubleshoot complex systems.
• Ability to read and comprehend technical instructions and diagrams.
• Ability to lift and move up to 100 lbs (occasionally with assistance).
• Ability to work in various environments, including outdoors on roofs, in high places, and in extreme heat.

Preferred Qualifications

• Formal HVAC training and previous professional experience.
• Electrical License.
• Welding Certificate.
• HVAC Certificate.
