About the role

Responsibilities

  • Lead all facilities engineering operations and serve as the primary technical point of contact for building systems and infrastructure.
  • Develop and manage engineering relationships with building management teams to resolve structural, mechanical, and systems-level issues.
  • Own and manage preventive and corrective maintenance programs for all MEP, HVAC, and medical-grade equipment.
  • Partner with Project Managers on the design, planning, and execution of complex infrastructure upgrades and capital improvement projects.
  • Source, negotiate, and manage contractor and vendor relationships to ensure quality of service and SLA adherence.
  • Maintain detailed engineering documentation, including maintenance logs, work orders, and compliance records.
  • Maintain 24/7 on-call availability to respond to building alarms, equipment failures, and emergency situations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Facilities Engineering (or a related technical discipline).
  • 8-10 years of experience in facility management.
  • 5+ years of experience in facilities engineering or building systems management, preferably in healthcare or life sciences.
  • Deep working knowledge of MEP systems, HVAC, and BMS/BAS platforms.
  • Experience with CMMS software and managing capital projects.
  • Knowledge of NFPA, OSHA, or Joint Commission standards.
  • Ability to maintain flexible hours and on-call availability for a 24/7 clinical operation.
