About the role
Responsibilities
- Lead complex projects involving optical fiber manufacturing processes, defining scope, financial impact, and timelines.
- Provide technical leadership for plant facilities, including pollution abatement, raw material delivery, and structural systems.
- Manage the plant capital portfolio, tracking monthly spending and forecasting for all capital projects.
- Support plant personnel in authoring capital appropriation requests to ensure compliance with guidelines.
- Act as a consultant on problems involving the delivery and integration of process services.
- Collaborate with division and corporate teams to benchmark best practices and sustainability improvements.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering and 7+ years of experience (preferably in facilities), or a Bachelor’s degree in any field with 15+ years of engineering experience.
- Proven experience working in manufacturing or industrial environments.
- Experience managing system processes and controls for facilities and environmental systems.
- Demonstrated project management skills with the ability to take projects from conception to commissioning.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting drawings and piping and instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs).
- Experience working with suppliers, contractors, and technical staff.
