About the role
Responsibilities
- Estimate costs related to layout design, including equipment, materials, and labor, while monitoring the construction process.
- Plan and implement designs for plants, offices, and production lines to maximize space and improve production efficiency.
- Identify and mitigate facility issues through engineering and process improvement methods.
- Provide technical leadership for new facility projects and lead continuous improvement activities.
- Manage the scheduling and execution of preventive, corrective, and building maintenance.
- Lead CAPA (Corrective and Preventative Actions) investigations to troubleshoot facility problems and discover causes of non-conformance.
- Prepare SOPs, floor layouts, and diagrams, and assist in training personnel.
- Facilitate cross-functional Lean Six Sigma process improvement teams using DMAIC methods.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in a related field and/or 5-10 years of related experience or training.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Ability to use AutoCAD and Visio.
- Strong mathematical, reasoning, and analytical skills to define problems and draw valid conclusions.
- High standard of report writing and professional communication skills.
- Ability to interpret technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with pharmaceutical facility utilities such as HVAC systems, chillers, boilers, and air compressors.
- Knowledge of and experience in cGMP (current Good Manufacturing Practices).
- Background in Lean Six Sigma or DMAIC methodologies.
- Experience in the pharmaceutical or food packaging industries.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Project.
