About the role
Responsibilities
- Support Facilities and infrastructure projects from field investigation and scope development through construction closeout
- Develop scopes of work, technical requirements, cost estimates, drawings, and contractor bid packages
- Review contractor proposals, drawings, submittals, schedules, and change requests
- Coordinate with contractors, vendors, technicians, NASA stakeholders, EHS, and internal partners
- Conduct field observations during construction and document project status
- Support testing, commissioning, punch-list completion, and turnover documentation
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, or Architectural Engineering, Facilities Engineering, Construction Management, or related technical field
- Experience in facilities, infrastructure, construction, utilities, manufacturing, or industrial systems
- Foundational understanding of engineering principles
- Ability to gather technical information and evaluate field conditions
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work in a collaborative, fast-paced environment
- Ability to access operational facilities, construction areas, rooftops, and outdoor environments
- Ability to clear a US government background check for on-site work at Stennis, Mississippi
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in aerospace or other industrial operations
- Familiarity with HVAC, building automation systems (BAS), electrical distribution, plumbing, or fire protection
- Proficiency with AutoCAD, Revit, Bluebeam, Jira, or CMMS platforms
- Experience with contractor coordination, field inspections, or equipment commissioning
