About the role

Responsibilities

  • Support Facilities and infrastructure projects from field investigation and scope development through construction closeout
  • Develop scopes of work, technical requirements, cost estimates, drawings, and contractor bid packages
  • Review contractor proposals, drawings, submittals, schedules, and change requests
  • Coordinate with contractors, vendors, technicians, NASA stakeholders, EHS, and internal partners
  • Conduct field observations during construction and document project status
  • Support testing, commissioning, punch-list completion, and turnover documentation

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, or Architectural Engineering, Facilities Engineering, Construction Management, or related technical field
  • Experience in facilities, infrastructure, construction, utilities, manufacturing, or industrial systems
  • Foundational understanding of engineering principles
  • Ability to gather technical information and evaluate field conditions
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work in a collaborative, fast-paced environment
  • Ability to access operational facilities, construction areas, rooftops, and outdoor environments
  • Ability to clear a US government background check for on-site work at Stennis, Mississippi

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in aerospace or other industrial operations
  • Familiarity with HVAC, building automation systems (BAS), electrical distribution, plumbing, or fire protection
  • Proficiency with AutoCAD, Revit, Bluebeam, Jira, or CMMS platforms
  • Experience with contractor coordination, field inspections, or equipment commissioning
