Facilities Engineer

Responsibilities

• Research facility equipment specifications and performance requirements to define designs compatible with existing manufacturing methods.
• Evaluate engineering proposals and technical data regarding industrial machinery and equipment design.
• Determine the feasibility of designing new plant facilities or modifying existing ones, considering cost, space, and time constraints.
• Provide technical information regarding manufacturing techniques and material properties to support long-range plant planning.
• Establish performance standards for newly designed or modified equipment through data research.
• Utilize computer-assisted engineering and design software to perform complex engineering tasks.
• Guide project teams through facility development and implementation phases.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering preferred, or equivalent professional experience and training.
• Minimum of 6+ years of related engineering experience.
• Expertise in MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, and Process) disciplines.
• Experience with manufacturing plant construction within a cGMP industry (Medical Devices or Pharma preferred).
• Knowledge of Fault/Root Cause Analysis and Review (FRACAS).
• Proficiency with utilities including steam, cooling media, heating media, water systems, and compressed air.

Preferred Qualifications

• Subject matter expertise in clean rooms, Walk-in Coolers & Freezers, or Waste Neutralization.
• Specialized knowledge of RO/DI Water systems, compressed gas distribution, vacuum systems, or process chillers.
