Facilities Engineer

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and perform maintenance and repairs on physical buildings, mechanical, electrical, kitchen, and laundry equipment
• Manage facilities operations to ensure compliance with regulatory standards
• Act as primary contact for contractors and vendors regarding maintenance, life safety, and project management
• Manage work request tickets to ensure timely responses
• Participate in quarterly environment of care rounds to ensure life safety compliance
• Provide on-call coverage for facility emergencies

Requirements

• 2-4 years of hospital facility management, plant operations, or maintenance experience
• Hands-on knowledge of building mechanical systems, controls, and energy management
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office
• Valid driver's license with a safe driving record and access to a vehicle
• Ability to travel 25% of the time and work occasional nights and weekends

Preferred Qualifications

• Completion of a vocational or technical program in maintenance or a related field
• Knowledge of The Joint Commission Life Safety and Environment of Care standards
