Facilities Engineer

Responsibilities

• Perform hands-on maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, mechanical equipment, and building automation systems
• Maintain and repair dryroom infrastructure including humidity controls and dehumidification equipment
• Conduct regular preventative maintenance inspections and respond to equipment failures
• Support installation and commissioning of new lab and manufacturing equipment and utility connections
• Track and document maintenance activities and work orders within the CMMS system
• Coordinate and oversee outside contractors for specialized repairs and capital projects
• Support safety and compliance programs including hazardous materials management and regulatory inspections
• Identify facility improvement opportunities and execute small capital projects

Requirements

• 5+ years in facilities or operations management within R&D, chemical, or manufacturing settings
• Demonstrated ability to personally troubleshoot and repair HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems
• Experience working in or around hazardous material environments (chemicals, gases, battery materials)
• Familiarity with building management systems (BMS) and CMMS platforms
• Working knowledge of OSHA, NFPA, EPA, and local building codes
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical, electrical, and architectural drawings
• Strong problem-solving and project management skills
