Facilities Electrician

Responsibilities

• Perform hands-on electrical maintenance, troubleshooting, repairs, installations, and modifications on facility systems and equipment
• Lead technicians in completing work orders, preventive maintenance, repairs, projects, and emergency response activities
• Plan, assign, and monitor daily work to ensure safe, accurate, and timely completion
• Inspect, diagnose, and repair electrical components including wiring, lighting, panels, motors, transformers, controls, VFDs, and conveyors
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, diagrams, manuals, and technical drawings
• Ensure compliance with NEC, OSHA, NFPA 70E, and lockout/tagout procedures
• Coordinate with contractors and vendors on assigned electrical work and service calls
• Train and coach technicians on troubleshooting, safety, and equipment operation

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED
• Valid electrician license or journeyman/master electrician certification
• 5+ years of industrial/commercial electrical experience
• Hands-on experience troubleshooting and maintaining electrical and building systems
• Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and blueprints
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in various environments including mechanical rooms and rooftops

Preferred Qualifications

• Technical school certification or associate degree in electrical technology
• 2+ years of supervisory experience
• Experience in warehouse, manufacturing, or 24/7 distribution environments
• Proficiency with building and maintenance management systems (CMMS)
