About the role
Responsibilities
- Maintain facility and equipment electrical infrastructure to ensure safe and reliable operation
- Troubleshoot electrical issues ranging from 110V single-phase to 480V three-phase distribution
- Install and terminate conduit systems, cable trays, and raceways
- Commission new equipment to facility electrical infrastructure, ensuring proper phasing and load balancing
- Perform electrical testing including insulation resistance, continuity, and voltage verification
- Conduct preventative maintenance on switchgear, panels, motors, and drives
- Manage lockout/tagout (LOTO) procedures and electrical work permits
- Respond to after-hours electrical emergencies to support manufacturing uptime
Requirements
- Valid Massachusetts Journeyman Electrician license
- 5+ years of experience as an electrician in a manufacturing or industrial environment
- Ability to read and interpret P&IDs, electrical schematics, and one-line diagrams
- Detailed knowledge of NEC, NFPA 70, NFPA 79, and NFPA 70E standards
- Experience with VFDs and industrial power distribution equipment
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
