About the role

Responsibilities

  • Support facilities electrical design, electrical distribution, and construction project management
  • Manage project estimating, scheduling, load sizing, and coordination studies
  • Develop construction drawings, diagrams, sketches, and technical engineering specifications
  • Prepare bid documents and provide construction administration for office renovations, laboratory fit-ups, and manufacturing equipment installations
  • Coordinate projects with internal and external resources including IT, safety, security, contractors, and suppliers
  • Oversee projects from initial design through the bid cycle, construction, and final closeout

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering and 8 years of relevant experience (or an advanced degree with 5 years of experience)
  • Extensive knowledge of High, Medium, and Low Voltage electrical systems
  • Proficiency in SKM short circuit and arc fault analysis, including feeder and transformer sizing
  • Proficiency with AutoCAD, REVIT, Microsoft Project, and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Experience in construction project management, including budget monitoring and contractor coordination
  • U.S. Citizenship is required
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD security clearance

Preferred Qualifications

  • Active Professional Engineering (PE) license in the state of Massachusetts
  • Experience in Facilities Engineering and Design within manufacturing environments
  • Familiarity with Building Automation Systems (BAS) such as Siemens, Johnson Controls, or Schneider Electric
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to interface with leadership and technical trades
