About the role
Responsibilities
- Provide engineering oversight and technical guidance for facility electrical and controls systems in regulated laboratory and office environments
- Oversee electrical engineering firms and contractor work related to power distribution, building systems, and critical utilities
- Support operations, maintenance programs, and capital projects for primary/backup power, BMS, EMS, security, and fire alarm systems
- Contribute to near- and long-term capital planning, budgeting, and project execution
- Provide technical input for risk management, EHS, business continuity, and compliance activities
- Collaborate with Digital/Business Technology teams on facility-related automation and systems support
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree with at least 2 years of experience; OR a master's degree with 0+ years; OR an associate's degree with 6 years; OR high school diploma with 8 years of relevant experience
- Understanding of the maintenance of electrical systems for HVAC and other facility-related equipment
- Proven ability to support facility operations, maintenance, and projects in regulated or technical environments
- Demonstrated skills in project coordination, planning, and stakeholder management
- Effective teamwork and collaboration with cross-functional teams, vendors, and contractors
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with BMS/automation platforms (e.g., Honeywell)
- Familiarity with pharmaceutical, laboratory, or regulated facility environments
- Project management experience and use of CMMS/EAM systems
- Working knowledge of PLCs, control systems, and smart/IoT building technologies
