About the role

Responsibilities

  • Provide engineering oversight and technical guidance for facility electrical and controls systems in regulated laboratory and office environments
  • Oversee electrical engineering firms and contractor work related to power distribution, building systems, and critical utilities
  • Support operations, maintenance programs, and capital projects for primary/backup power, BMS, EMS, security, and fire alarm systems
  • Contribute to near- and long-term capital planning, budgeting, and project execution
  • Provide technical input for risk management, EHS, business continuity, and compliance activities
  • Collaborate with Digital/Business Technology teams on facility-related automation and systems support

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree with at least 2 years of experience; OR a master's degree with 0+ years; OR an associate's degree with 6 years; OR high school diploma with 8 years of relevant experience
  • Understanding of the maintenance of electrical systems for HVAC and other facility-related equipment
  • Proven ability to support facility operations, maintenance, and projects in regulated or technical environments
  • Demonstrated skills in project coordination, planning, and stakeholder management
  • Effective teamwork and collaboration with cross-functional teams, vendors, and contractors

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with BMS/automation platforms (e.g., Honeywell)
  • Familiarity with pharmaceutical, laboratory, or regulated facility environments
  • Project management experience and use of CMMS/EAM systems
  • Working knowledge of PLCs, control systems, and smart/IoT building technologies
