About the role

Responsibilities

  • Ensure the safe operation and maintenance of electrical infrastructure for Laboratory and Pilot Operations
  • Act as the site Master Electrician and represent the site in interactions with the Authority Having Jurisdiction (AHJ)
  • Develop and execute electrical reliability plans and coordinate preventive and on-demand electrical work
  • Coordinate work and resources with site-resident Facility Management contractors and operating areas
  • Plan and schedule annual electrical maintenance activities
  • Develop progression plans for electrical team members, including paths to electrical licensing
  • Drive continuous improvement for all aspects of facility electrical systems

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience providing Master Electrician level support to industrial operations
  • Demonstrated track record of managing electrical teams
  • Experience managing AHJ relationships, electrical permitting, and facilitating mandated inspections
  • Strong understanding of OSHA, NFPA, and NEC codes and regulations
  • Knowledge of UL/NRTL requirements in a hybrid R&D and Pilot operational environment
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint)
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in electrical design and arc flash risk management
  • Experience developing sitewide electrical procedures and policies
  • Experience with work scheduling and management systems such as SAP or Maximo
  • Experience managing capital projects and forecasting capital expenditures
  • Experience managing electrical contractor relationships at R&D and Pilot sites
  • Experience with Lean or Six Sigma methodologies
