About the role
Responsibilities
- Ensure the safe operation and maintenance of electrical infrastructure for Laboratory and Pilot Operations
- Act as the site Master Electrician and represent the site in interactions with the Authority Having Jurisdiction (AHJ)
- Develop and execute electrical reliability plans and coordinate preventive and on-demand electrical work
- Coordinate work and resources with site-resident Facility Management contractors and operating areas
- Plan and schedule annual electrical maintenance activities
- Develop progression plans for electrical team members, including paths to electrical licensing
- Drive continuous improvement for all aspects of facility electrical systems
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent
- Minimum of 5 years of experience providing Master Electrician level support to industrial operations
- Demonstrated track record of managing electrical teams
- Experience managing AHJ relationships, electrical permitting, and facilitating mandated inspections
- Strong understanding of OSHA, NFPA, and NEC codes and regulations
- Knowledge of UL/NRTL requirements in a hybrid R&D and Pilot operational environment
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint)
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in electrical design and arc flash risk management
- Experience developing sitewide electrical procedures and policies
- Experience with work scheduling and management systems such as SAP or Maximo
- Experience managing capital projects and forecasting capital expenditures
- Experience managing electrical contractor relationships at R&D and Pilot sites
- Experience with Lean or Six Sigma methodologies
