About the role

Responsibilities

  • Support the operation, maintenance, and optimization of facilities building and process control systems.
  • Monitor, diagnose, and resolve issues with Building Management Systems (BMS), SCADA, PLCs, and VFDs.
  • Perform root-cause analysis for alarms, system faults, and trending anomalies using system dashboards and historian data.
  • Execute software and hardware maintenance on control system components including sensors, actuators, and I/O points.
  • Troubleshoot instrumentation for critical systems such as HVAC, ultrapure water, process cooling, and toxic gas monitoring.
  • Read and interpret electrical schematics, P&IDs, control logic, and network diagrams.
  • Recommend adjustments to control strategies and setpoints to improve stability and energy efficiency.
  • Maintain accurate records of system changes, calibrations, and work performed.
  • Adhere to strict semiconductor industry safety requirements, including LOTO and high purity chemical safety.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in Controls or Instrumentation & Electrical (I&E) in an industrial setting.
  • Associate degree or completion certificate in Instrumentation, Electronics, or Electrical.
  • Experience installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting in a semiconductor facility.
  • Working knowledge of facility equipment such as chillers, boilers, compressors, and pumping systems.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills for complex control and instrumentation systems.
  • Ability to read and understand electrical schematics and ladder logic.
  • Proficiency with basic computer applications (Word, Excel, email).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Allen Bradley PLCs.
  • Experience with Cimplicity SCADA systems.
  • Knowledge of automated building control or Facility Management systems.
  • Programming ability.
