Fabricator Welder

Responsibilities

• Manufacture sheet metal and fabricated products in line with engineering drawings and specifications
• Ensure high standards of right-first-time build efficiency and quality finish
• Meet defined production schedules and deadlines for work-in-progress (WIP)
• Provide fast resolution to manufacturing issues and communicate effectively with the operations team
• Assist with assembly work as required
• Adhere to UK Health and Safety Regulations and Ishida’s quality standards
• Contribute to continuous improvement activities and achieve KPI targets for efficiency and cost
• Report health and safety issues or near misses to the Fabrication Team Leader

Requirements

• Completed engineering apprenticeship or an equivalent qualification
• Considerable experience in assembly and engineering within a manufacturing environment
• Strong understanding of engineering drawings
• Proficient knowledge of sheet metal fabrication, welding, and cutting
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think logically
• Excellent time management and a commitment to maintaining high quality standards
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team

Preferred Qualifications

• Counterbalance forklift licence
